Hushållningssällskapet is an organization with over 200 years of history, offering advisory and development services within agriculture. Their work focuses on providing support in areas such as crop production, environmental consultancy, and other services for farmers, who are their primary target group.
Hushållningssällskapet in Halland has long been working to address the challenges posed by the growing wild boar population. The goal has been to streamline wild boar management and make knowledge more accessible to hunters, facilities, and other stakeholders.
Despite significant efforts to gather information, reaching the target audience has been difficult, and they decided to develop an app that makes all the information easily accessible in the field.
The app was developed in collaboration with Ahla Mossens WildlifeEnclosure, the Swedish Hunters' Association in Halland, and the County Administrative Board of Halland.
Thanks to our expertise in app development, Hushållningssällskapet chose Meta Bytes as their partner to create Sweden's first wild boar app. The app compiles and provides information about wild boars, primarily for hunters but also for others with an interest in the subject. Users can access information about wild boar management, regulations on permitted equipment, and even find recipes for cooking wild boar meat.

The app is expected to strengthen collaboration between all involved parties and contribute to more efficient wild boar management in the region. For hunters and other stakeholders, the app is a valuable resource for quickly accessing essential information.
To coincide with the app’s launch, Hushållningssällskapet organized a Wild Boar Conference, where the final product was showcased.
The positive reception of the Wild Boar App confirms that we are on the right track in strengthening cooperation between hunters, landowners, and facilities for more sustainable rural development.
