Offering advice regarding agricultural and rural development, Hushållningssällskapet is a non-profit knowledge-sharing and member organisation consisting of in total 15 regional, independent divisions in Sweden. They work actively with managing land resources and have a vision of an attractive Swedish countryside as a growing industry.
A regional division, Hushållningssällskapet Halland, will now, together with three other local actors, create an app focused on wild boars where Meta Bytes will be responsible for the development and operation of the app.
The app is the first of its kind in Sweden and aims to facilitate collaboration between hunters and game-handling establishments, contributing to increased culling of wild boars and easier handling of the meat. In the app, users will be able to contribute information and knowledge and will also be able to communicate with each other.
– There is a demand for coordination of information about wild boars. Today, there is a lot of information to find, but it is scattered in many different places. There is also a gap in the handling of wild boar meat and what reaches the game-handling establishment. We can fill that gap, says Håkan Cajander, project manager at Hushållningssällskapet Halland.
The development of the app will commence shortly.
